Types of Classes & Teams
360 offers a wide variety of classes and programs as listed below...
Technique Classes – These classes are excellent for anyone who
is serious about advancing their skills as a dancer. At 360, technique classes
are offered at 5 levels (Levels 1-5). The instructors determine which level is
appropriate for each dancer. Technique classes focus on correct body and arm placement
on such things as turns, leaps, jumps, etc. These classes also offer strength
building exercises and improvement of flexibility. Our technique classes are widely
recognized as the best around by both individuals and school dance teams.
Ballet Classes - Our ballet classes are phenomenal and are a must for
the very serious dancer! These ballet classes are the critical foundation of all
various forms of dance including jazz, lyrical, tap and others. Our ballet classes
are very disciplined and focus on proper turnout, foot, arm and body placement
and dance terminology.
Hip-Hop Classes - 360 hip-hop classes are TOO COOL! These classes are
the biggest thing going right now and are taught by our very own hip-hop guru,
Casey Curtsinger. Come learn some of the hottest new hip-hop moves and music video
dances straight from L.A.! Hip-Hop classes have open registration meaning that
you can start at any point in the year and do not have to take any other class
in conjunction with the hip-hop class.
National and Regional Competitive Dance Teams – 360 Dance has
a tryout in August of each year to select its national and regional competitive
dance teams. Anyone who makes a national or regional dance team is required to
take a pre-determined amount of technique and ballet class or classes each week.
These dancers attend 1-2 conventions between November and March and several regional
competitions starting in January and ending in May. 360 also attends one large
national competition in June or July of each year. Finalized competition and convention
dates will be posted at our studio and on the website under "Studio
Calendar" once they are available.
All-Star Dance Teams – 360 Dance has a tryout in April of each
year to select its 360 Allstars. Anyone making the 360 Allstars is required to
take a pre-determined amount of technique and ballet classes each week. 360 Allstars
must also participate on 360’s national competitive dance teams. The 360
Allstar teams attend 1-2 regional competitions between September and January and
UDA Nationals in Orlando, Florida in February. Finalized competition dates will
be posted at our studio and on the website under "Studio
Calendar" once they are available.
Recreational Dance Classes – Anyone between the ages of 7 and
14 can participate in a recreational class. No tryout is required! These classes
have two primary purposes...1) to highlight some of the basic fundamentals of
dance and 2) to give the dancers a chance to learn routines and to perform in
front of an audience. Each class will learn either a jazz and tap routine (ages
7-8) or a jazz and hip-hop routine (ages 9-14) that will be performed at the 360
Live! Show in June. These classes are a great way to prepare for being on a school
dance team or a 360 national or regional competitive dance team.
360 KIDS Dance Classes - 360 has designed an excellent program of activities
to give young children ages 3 to 6 a chance to experience dance in a fun-and-loving
atmosphere. Our staff will use music, dance and creative movement to help the
dancers grow in all sorts of areas such as physical self-knowledge, self-assurance
and self-esteem. Other areas of development will include improvement of sensory
perception, flexibility, motor coordination skills, motivation and the creative
thinking process. And most importantly, the classes will be great FUN! Each class
will be 45 minutes to 1 hour in length, and each dancer will learn a jazz and
tap routine that will be performed at the 360 Live! Show in June.

Rules and Guidelines
- OBSERVATION: No parents or siblings are allowed in the dance rooms
unless the instructor invites them in on a special occasion to watch. At the discretion
of each instructor, we will open the blinds on occasion so that you may watch
class from the lobby.
- COMMUNICATION WITH INSTRUCTOR: Please remember that time is limited
in between classes and it is very important that we start classes on time. Therefore,
if you need to speak to an instructor, you have a couple of options. The easiest
way is to e-mail your instructor. You may also leave your instructor a note with
our office staff and the instructor will call you back. Thanks for your cooperation
and understanding!
- MISSING CLASS/MAKE-UP CLASSES: If you must miss class for any reason,
it is your responsibility to call our office at 26-DANCE (263-2623) and inform
the office staff or leave a voice mail message. Please do this prior to the scheduled
class time so we can inform the instructor of your absence. If a dancer misses
a ballet or technique class, that class must be made up. See your instructor for
a make-up class time.
- DANCE ROOMS: No chewing gum, food and/or drink are allowed in the dance
rooms. The only exception is that dancers may bring a water bottle to class. All
dance or school bags must be brought into the dance rooms and placed neatly in
an area designated by the instructor.
- DRESS CODE: All dancers are expected to adhere to the 360 dress code
for ALL classes. Click here to view the 360 dress code.
- FACILITY: The 360 office is for staff only. No parents or dancers are
allowed in the office without the permission of a 360 staff member. Please also
help keep the lobby, lounge area, dressing rooms and bathrooms clean. It is your
responsibility to clean up after yourself and throw all trash away. Should you
notice that any of these rooms need attention, please notify a staff member immediately.
Please also note that 360 is a non-smoking facility.
- TIMELINESS: Please arrive at least 5 minutes early for each class.
It is the parent’s responsibility to be prompt when picking up dancers after
class. All dancers should wait inside the facility when waiting to be picked up.
360 cannot be responsible for watching children in between or after classes.
