Tryouts were held for the 2007-2008 allstar teams and the results are in!  Congrats to all of the dancers who made the 360 Allstar teams!  Our dancers which will compete in 3 different age levels in 07-08...Youth, Juniors and Seniors.  At the end of the summer dance sessions, our 360 Allstar coaches will divide the Seniors into two different teams before heading into the competition season.  Our teams from last year had a super successful allstar season sweeping the jazz category at UDA Nationals with 3 National Championships and 2nd and 4th place jazz finishes for our Seniors at the 1st-ever Dance Worlds!  We are very excited about beginning another great allstar season.  Keep up the hard work dancers!  With that, we introduce our 07-08 allstars...

The BEST-OF-THE-BEST in all-star dance will face off at Epcot at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida on April 21-22, 2007. The big news is that the 360 Allstars will be in the hunt for a world title as 360 has officially earned a bid to compete in this prestigious event called, THE DANCE WORLDS.

The bid was earned by the Senior Allstars who won the National Championship in the Senior Jazz division at UDA Nationals in February. UDA granted this team a $3,500 cash award which will be put toward the cost of attending The Dance Worlds. The Seniors will be fundraising the rest of the money to make this once-in-a-lifetime trip a reality. Being a part of the The Dance Worlds is a big honor for our studio and for our dancers. The goal is simple...TO BRING HOME A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

The Dance Worlds is produced and directed by the United States All-Star Federation (USASF). You can visit www.usasf.net for more info on this organization. This will be the 1st year for The Dance Worlds. The Cheerleading Worlds has been held in 3 previous years and has become a huge international success. Last year, over 25 countries were represented and this year an even bigger turnout is expected. The Dance Worlds will feature dance teams from all over the U.S. representing 11 different competition event producers. International dance teams are also expected from many different countries including Mexico, England, Scotland, China, Venezuela, Japan, France, Costa Rica, Slovenia, Chile, the Netherlands and others. The Dance Worlds is going to be a really special opportunity for these 360 Seniors. Good luck to our dancers and let's WIN WORLDS!

Not one, not two, but THREE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS! The 360 Allstars swept the jazz category at UDA Nationals on Friday, February 2 in Orlando, Florida. The competition took place at the Milk House Arena at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. 360 brought three National Championships back to The Ville...Youth Jazz, Junior Jazz and Senior Jazz. This marks the 1st time that any studio has ever swept the jazz category.

360 traveled 5 allstar teams, 8 performances and over 200 people to UDA Nationals this year. While in Orlando, 360 dancers competed in both jazz and hip-hop. The 3 hip-hop performances, Youth, Junior and Senior, finished 4th, 5th and 5th places respectively. The Senior B Allstars also finished 3rd in Senior Jazz and the Junior B Allstars finished 3rd in Junior Jazz giving 360 the 1st and 3rd placements in both of those jazz divisions. That's pretty impressive, huh?

Congrats to our very own Ashley Flaker and her husband, Aaron! Ashley gave birth to TYCE DAVYD FLAKER on Sunday, November 12! The little guy arrived a couple of weeks ahead of his due date but still weighed in at 6 pounds 7 ounces and was measured at 19.5 inches long. The Flakers left the hospital on Tuesday to return home with their other son, Braxton, who is 4 years old. WI-FI has arrived at 360 Dance!  Hey dancers and parents...now you can enjoy your free time at 360 by taking advantage of our wireless internet service. Yes, it's available and it's FREE throughout our studio! As always, it's important for us to make sure that you enjoy your time at 360 and now you can do so by surfing the internet. Catch up on today's news! Perform research for that school project! Check e-mail so you don't have to when you get home! These are just a few of the reasons to take advantage of this new service. How do you use this new WI-FI service? It's so simple and easy!

Bring your laptop to 360. Your laptop must have a wireless internet card! Fire up your laptop once in the studio. Your laptop should be able to receive the wireless signal in all lobby areas and in Room 360. You will be asked for a password. Go to the front desk or to the 360 info board to receive this password. Enter the password and you should be good to go! Enjoy the 360 WI-FI!

Recently, over 500 hopeful dancers and cheerleaders traveled to Indy with the dream of making an NFL cheerleading team. Even the FOX Network was on hand to catch the drama for an upcoming documentary on the Colts Cheerleaders tryouts. Two cuts were made on the 1st day and then two-weeks of practice ensued for those who made the cuts. Final cuts were made until a final number of 30 cheerleaders were left standing. The good news...one of those 30 is our very own...former 360 dancer, Christy Ash! Christy is now an official Indianapolis Colts NFL Cheerleader! YEAH BABY!

Christy danced at 360 from 1997 until 2002 and was a member of the Assumption High School dance team for 3 years. After that, she attended the University of Kentucky where she was a member of the UK Dance Team for 2 years. This will be her 1st year as a member of the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders where she is 1 of 10 rookies who are joining the 20 returning cheerleaders from last year's squad. GO 360 and GO ASHLEY! Business First newspaper recently ran a story on 360 Dance and our very own, Ashley Williams Flaker, in their "Small Business Snapshot" section. The story was titled "All The Right Moves" and was printed in the Monday, January 23 issue. It's a great read that gives an inside look at 360 Dance including its history and growth. This article was great exposure for 360 and its dancers!
